the Reading List
A voluntary project by men in Alice Springs to share the joy and benefits of reading with children.
Pages
‘The Reading List’ is a new, voluntary project by men to take up the challenge of reading one book a day with children for a month. A bag of books will be provided to the person who accepts the challenge.
When they complete it, their name will go on this site and they can then challenge other men they know to do the same.
This project has no spokesperson and no supporting logos - its power is shared equally amongst the men who challenge themselves and challenge others.

Book donations and interest sought...
This project is still in development and we need your help...
Wanted – children books
Wanted – children books
We have a
small amount of books to start the project, but need more. If you can donate
second hand books (of all child ages) to the project than please deliver to the
Alice Springs Public Library and say they are for ‘the Reading List’ project.
Wanted – men to be the first group challenged
This
project is for all men (including those who already read daily to their children). For the
project to work we need men from all sections of Alice Springs. If you
want to be amongst the first group to be challenged, or know of someone and have talked to them (and they have agreed), please email thereadinglist.central@gmail.com (John Rawnsley will receive the email).
